    The African Women’s and Families Network (AWAFN) is a partner of Femme Solidarity that helps provide opportunities for African Australian women, men, youth, and families to build skills and connect with the wider community. Through their inclusive capacity-building programs, AWAFN creates a safe space for individuals to realise their full potential.

    Theresa Sengaaga Ssali

    Theresa Sengaaga Ssali, a valued partner of Femme Solidarity, is a highly experienced social worker with over 25 years of service in State and Commonwealth Government agencies. She has dedicated her career to community capacity building, especially for youth, men, women, and families in emerging communities. As an advocate for women’s human rights since 1989, her voluntary work has earned her prestigious accolades, including the Victorian African Community Award as UNSUNG COMMUNITY HERO.

    Micheline Erbes

    Micheline, a valued partner of Femme Solidarity, is a passionate community development practitioner and social justice activist with over a decade of experience working with multicultural communities. As President of the Papua New Guinea Women’s Association of Victoria, she leads the Family Violence and Gender Equality project, empowering women and families through prevention and support. Founder of the #itsnotourculture campaign, Micheline advocates against harmful narratives that normalise family violence, combining cultural advocacy, community engagement, and strategic leadership to drive meaningful social change.

    Dr. Khaldoon Fahmi

    Dr. Khaldoon Fahmi, a partner of Femme Solidarity, is a Senior Clinician and Advanced Family Violence Practice Leader. He specialises in facilitating Arabic-speaking men's behaviour change programs, addressing harmful beliefs, and promoting accountability. With extensive experience working with CALD communities, Dr. Fahmi plays a crucial role in challenging cultural norms around power, control, and protection, fostering meaningful change in family violence interventions.

    Husna is a Bachelor of Social Work student with extensive experience in the not-for-profit sector, particularly in youth and disability services. Committed to diversity, inclusion, and social justice, Husna is driven to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. As a partner of Femme Solidarity, she actively contributes to initiatives promoting accessibility and human rights within the community.

    Tienyi Long

    Tienyi is a lawyer with expertise in the higher education, government, and not-for-profit sectors. As the Legal and Compliance Manager at YSAS, Tienyi oversees governance, compliance, contract management, business continuity, and insurance functions. Passionate about supporting young people, particularly those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, Tienyi plays a vital role as a partner of Femme Solidarity, contributing to initiatives that promote inclusivity and empowerment within the community.

    Malavika Kadwadkar

    As a valued partner of Femme Solidarity, Malavika Kadwadkar is a dynamic leader in community engagement and social equity, with extensive experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, LGBTQIA+, and disability communities. In her role as Strategic Lead for Gender Equality, she drives impactful projects and leads a Gender Equality Taskforce. Malavika is deeply involved in initiatives like the Rainbow Action Plan, Reconciliation Action Plan, and Disability Action Plan, and she regularly shares her expertise with Monash University students and community research projects.

    Louise is an intersectional feminist with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Politics and a Master of International Relations in Gender, Peace, and Security from Monash University. Her academic research explores violence against women in politics and the barriers faced by women and gender-diverse individuals in leadership roles. As a partner of Femme Solidarity, Louise is dedicated to promoting social justice and equity for marginalised communities.
